Straw Bale Construction Workshops:

Why Attend a Workshop?
If you are considering building or remodeling a home, a workshop will provide a fun and educational way to learn about the benefits of straw building while getting hands-on experience in construction. Straw bale building is an exciting and environmentally-friendly way to build homes, classrooms, greenhouses, commercial buildings, and virtually any other structure. Straw bales used as super-insulating wall material create houses that are much more fire resistant and energy efficient than conventional wood-frame buildings. These homes are comfortable in hot or cold weather, and save homeowners money on utility bills. If you add passive and active solar design the utility savings are even greater. Come to a workshop and learn about this easy, cost-efficient, and sustainable form of building. No special skills are required!
